Paul Keens-Douglas is an actor, author, and storyteller. He is a leading exponent of Caribbean oral traditions, he is founder/producer of the annual Tim Tim Storytelling Show and the Carnival Talk Tent. He holds the Humming Bird Silver medal for contributions to Culture, the Zora Neale Hurston award for Folklore and the Beryl McBurnie Foundation for the Arts Award. Appointed Poet Laureate of T&T for the period 2017-2019, he has been conferred with the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters by the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.
